The Chiaro is compatible with almost any inverted microscope to enable (advanced) microscopy to be combined with force sensing simultaneously. For example consider using fluorescence microscopy combined with applying pico-Newton range forces to live cells.
The Chiaro Nanoindenter is engineered to enable researchers that work with soft or biological materials with an accurate and easy way to non-destructively measure the local mechanical properties of any sample.
Amongst the many applications possible, the Chiaro Nanoindenter is used to examine the local mechanical properties of (stem)cells, micropraticles and capsules, microtissues,hydrogels, tissues, tissue-engineered constructs, 3D-printed scaffolds and structures, cell spheroids, plant and tissue sections, rubbers, synthetic- and bio-polymers, silicones, biodegradable materials and many more. Also the Chiaro is very suited to perform complex force measurement on cells and small samples, such as ion channel activation, cell-protein binding, cell-cell adhesion, and any more.
